Clever Herbal Healer Reveals His Top 10 Medicinal Plants
Introduction
Stan was scaling the vertical wall of a huge canyon mountain. Looking down, the view of the river below appeared very small. He was almost at the top of the canyon. He smiled. As a prepper and a survivalist, he loved a challenge and kept pushing himself to do more difficult things. This time he was doing a wilderness outing all alone, to see how his survival skills could hold up. He didn’t even carry a cell phone. In the middle of nowhere and at least four days walk to any civilization, it was a real test. Things so far have been going smoothly. Every situation was successfully met with a prepared response.
Bracing himself, Stan reached overhead to hoist himself up to the top of the canyon. Suddenly a rattlesnake bit his hand. In excruciating pain he pulled his hand back and yelled. Almost losing his balance, he desperately clinged to the rope supporting him. Breathing rapidly, he tried to calm down. Looking at his hand he saw that it was not just a dry bite but a deeply punctured wound. The hand started swelling up.
Trying not to panic, he slowly scaled back down to the river at the bottom. The descent was very painful. After finally reaching the floor, he dropped exhausted to his knees near the edge of the river. Staring at the glistening water, he knew things were bleak. He could not only lose his hand but also his life. Eyes on the ground and in despair, he felt the poisonous venom already working inside him. His life was ebbing away. It wouldn’t be long before it was all over. Fighting tears, he glanced around him and noticed a familiar plant nearby. For a moment he paused. He has seen it before. Then he realized it was one that he had learned from a friend of his who was a well known herbal doctor. All of a sudden, the knowledge Stan gained previously came rushing back at him. The plant was an extremely potent herb with powerful healing properties.
Cannot believing his luck, he rushed over to the herb and ate some of it immediately. Then he took another portion of the herb and made a poultice with it, mixed with some water from the river. He applied the poultice to the wound on his hand and waited. After a short while the poultice turned black. He knew exactly why. The herb was slowly sucking out the venom. He removed the poultice and made another poultice the same way. Every time it turned black he replaced it with new poultice. He also kept eating the herb every hour. He kept doing both methods all day long. After a long 24 hours, he found himself amazingly much better. And his hand was back to normal, with absolutely no tissue loss whatsoever.
Incredibly, Stan’s life was saved because of that single herb and his knowledge about it. This is based on a true story. The amazing herb itself was called plantain. And no, it is not the banana like fruit with the same name. As for Stan’s friend who taught him, he was the renown master herbalist, Doctor Patrick Jones.

Conventional Medicine And The Risk Of A Global Crisis
The world as we currently know it, relies heavily on conventional pharmaceuticals drugs. But if a global crisis happens which is very possible, where will your medicine really be in a post-apocalyptic world? Sure, you could store pharmaceutical drugs beforehand, and hope for the best. Your storage of drugs would take some work. It would require a cold environment to keep the medicine from decaying rapidly. You would also need proper equipment that can run with continuous energy to keep the medicine stable. Unfortunately, energy is not always guaranteed, especially in a world with depleting resources and soaring inflation.
But even then, due to unexpected circumstances, you could lose access to your conventional medicine. Your storage of medicine could be robbed. Gangs can sweep down and overtake your camp, forcing you and your loved ones to flee in a hurry. There are many possibilities that could separate you and your family from critical medical supplies. Where are you going to get your antibiotics for your family then?
There should be a better way to prepare for this. Something more sustainable. Something that can last on a permanent basis and will not run dry even in a health crisis. Something that is far better than pharmaceutical goods and with real staying power. It simply goes back to the grandfather of modern cures, herbal medicines.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Your Preparation Plans Should Include Herbs
As a prepper, you try to plan for disaster. When the SHTF happens, your diligent preparation beforehand can mean the difference between life and death. You already installed your clean water sources, you stocked up on 30 year life food, you established your homestead and safety measures, and you prepared your contingency plans on your medical supplies.
But in a real crisis, one of the first things that can come crashing down can be the medical establishment. Horrible things could occur with hospitals unable to care for patients, pharmacies shutting down, doctors leaving their practices, patients left without care, crime soaring, martial law overtaking the land, and people leaving in droves looking for safety. Diseases could become rampant and desperate times can set in. The demand for medicine would be certainly soar and will be out of reach for many. It would be an awful situation that nobody would want to be in.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Thankfully, Herbs Can Be Your Plan B
The good thing about herbs is that you can grow them yourself. Then you would have a ready supply of powerful medicine always there for you, sustainable and potent. Learning how to work with herbs is an excellent choice.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***A Good Quality Education On Herbs Can Make A World Of Difference
If you are looking on how to become an herbalist, you should know that where you train and who you learn from makes all the difference in the world. You can get the training to be a herbalist for several reasons including:
- To arm yourself with life savings skills that you can apply anywhere (something that any prepper would love to have).
- To start a career.
- To start your own business.
- To add to your existing medical skills.
There are countless herbal education programs, but many lack the education you really need. Some are quite expensive and being profit oriented as they are, they try to pitch their commercial formulas that they would like for you focus on instead of looking at what is actually going on in the body or the plant. They typically just teach a few things about herbs but without substance and real life applications. And with many schools, there are no hands-on learning or personal instruction experienced with the teachers. You need something better than that. A real genuine and personal hands-on education in working with herbs in real life situations, is by far, the best way to learn. How well you are equipped depends on how good your training really is.
- You need to know the principles of anatomy and physiology and understand how the body works.
- You need to know how the plants work on the organs and systems of the body.
- You need to learn from someone that has actually used medicinal plants in his clinical practice all day, every day for many years.
- You need to experience a hands-on role in making tinctures, glycerites, salves lotions, and other herbal medicines.
- You need a teacher that could walk you through the deserts and forests and help you learn how to identify and harvest medicinal and edible plants yourself.
Thankfully, there is a master herbalist who can truly train you in this way. Stan who survived in the mountains, owes his life to this man. Likewise, you would do very well to learn from him. We would like to introduce you to Doctor Patrick Jones, the smartest herbal healer we have ever encountered.

*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***How Dr. Jones Got Started In Herbs
Dr. Jones life dramatically changed one day when he was faced with a dog dying of liver failure. Everything he tried with conventional medicine just didn’t work. Helpless and at a loss for words, Dr. Jones didn’t know what to do. But through a series of amazing coincidences, he got his hands on a herbal remedy from a man who would later become a great friend. Once the herbal remedy was applied, the dog miraculously recovered, and nearly immediately. Amazed, Dr. Jones made up his mind to learn all about the powers of herbs. That case changed the trajectory of his life, for the better. From then on he started healing all kinds of animals with herbs and eventually launched a new site with herb formulas just for animals, HerbPet.com. Dr. Jones also branched out to treating people with these wonderful life saving plants that he grew himself on his own property. As a result, many lives have been blessed to experience his herbal skills.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Starting His School - HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine
Since then, for many years, he saw the power of herbs blessing the lives of both his veterinary patients and human clients. But the lack of quality education in herbalist schools bothered Dr. Jones and he set out to form a comprehensive herbal education experience. His passion gave rise to the HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine, an institution dedicated to teaching others the principles of botanical medicine so they can be more self-sufficient and have a better quality of life. Here you get the best herbalist courses that money can buy. You can also buy the best herbalism books, written by Dr. Jones himself. If you are new, don’t worry, they have great herbalism books for beginners too. Also, while you are there, we highly suggest you watch the videos on that page. Moreover, the school also has its own online herb store.
Dr. Jones has been driven by evangelical zeal to teach others about these amazing plants. He has written books, given countless lectures, and posted many YouTube videos. When you are in a class with Dr. Jones, you get to roll up your sleeves and go beyond the theoretical and into real applications with workshops and herb walks. He and his family personally grow and process over 175 different medicinal herbs on their small 2 acre property.
Because of Dr. Jones’s veterinary credentials and license, students of his school get to learn from the best of the best. They get to learn from someone who has been in the trenches using herbs to heal ailments every single day, for over 30 years. He has had the unique opportunity to treat cases that most herbalists wouldn’t dream of addressing within the normal scope of their practices. Every day, Dr. Jones used herbs to overcome gangrene, rattlesnake bites, gunshot wounds, poisonings, massive hemorrhage, brain trauma, sepsis, bleeding, reverse shock, and much more. He is able to improve blood circulation, coax damaged tissue from dying, eliminate toxins, and accelerate healing. He has the uncanny ability to use special formulas, herbal antibiotics, herbal anti-inflammatories, and nervines in a way that really works. And according to him, for wound care, pharmaceuticals cannot hold a candle to herbs.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***What Pharmaceuticals Couldn’t Do, Herbs Did
One time, a man tried to break up a vicious dog fight. Consequently, his hand was almost torn to pieces. Thinking he should tough it out as a man, he didn’t go to doctor right away. But soon after, his hand tripled in size and purple streaks were running up in the arm. Alarmed, he went to a conventional doctor who gave him antibiotics that can kill the deadly bacteria infecting his hand. However, the doctor told him that unless he went to a herbalist for treatment, he was going to lose his hand anyway. This was because the man had major tissue damage and the physician did not have any pharmaceutical drugs that could fix that problem. Fortunately, Dr. Patrick Jones was contacted shortly after. And after meeting the man, Dr. Jones quickly started a herbal treatment on him. He brought a herbal remedy he formulated and applied it to the wound. The herbs went to work right away. The swelling went down, the purple streaks gradually ebbed away, and after 24 hours the man’s hand was completely normal, other than the broken skin which was already repairing itself. Because of Dr. Jones’s quick application of some powerful and potent herbs, the man’s hand was saved.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Pharmaceuticals Mostly Just Try To Copy What Herbs Already Do
Herbal medicine is often scoffed at by the pharmaceutical industry and yet it is their grandparent. Pharmaceuticals typically just try to artificially replicate what nature already provides. Their medicines have been slightly altered, chemically from nature. They do this because you can’t patent something that naturally exists and profit from it. Hence the manipulation. In a desperate effort for profit, labs would secretly examine herbs to find out why some herbs had great success against diseases such as arthritis, cancer, infections, and many other ailments. They then would take these plants into the lab and use a spectrophotometer, analyzing the herbs numerous rich natural chemicals and try to copy just one of the chemicals, and base their drug on that single chemical. At that point, they typically parade their new product to the public and exclaim, ‘We did it!” But in actual reality, they are usually trying to take credit for something that was already there, by nature.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Why Herbal Antibiotics Are Better
You have heard that bacteria can develop resistance to pharmaceuticals antibiotics. Like we mentioned earlier, pharmaceuticals antibiotics contain typically just one chemical. And bacteria can be resistant to the single chemical in the antibiotic. But when that same bacteria tries to do the same thing against medicinal herbs, they fail. This is because herbs are armed to the teeth with multiple natural chemicals that naturally eliminate any bacteria. For example, the pharmaceutical antibiotic, penicillin, has one active ingredient…penicillin. Garlic on the other hand, has an army of 37 active ingredients and compounds. No wonder bacteria has so much difficulty against herbs. And if you combine multiple herbs together, it is game over. Any bacteria in his right mind would flee.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Why Herbal Medicine Is Less Costly, More Healthy, And Way More Sustainable
Yes, modern-day medicine and herbal medicine can coexist. But herbs can easily replace most of the medicine found in pharmacies at a fraction of the cost. Plus, it is actually more healthy and safer to use herbal medicine which has fewer side effects than their man made counterparts. If an apocalypse event happens, these herbal medicines may be the only thing available to us in the future. If modern manufacturing and distribution methods become unavailable, we will have to rely on what can be grown locally. If you are a city prepper or a survivalist out in the country, have you thought of where you are going to get your antibiotics? What if the pharmacy store shuts down? Be prepared and grow your own antibiotics and medicine.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Herbs Fight Viruses And Other Ailments Better Too
- There are very few conventional drugs that are effective at killing viruses. But there are quite a number of herbs that kill viruses. They eat viruses for lunch.
- Some believe herbs can support and heal the liver better than drugs. (Remember Dr. Jones encounter with the dog that was dying of liver failure, despite treatment attempts with conventional medicine. Then the dog miraculously recovered when herbs arrived at the scene).
- Herbs can also do a lot of others things that conventional drugs cannot.
Dr. Jones has been faced with patients with severe infections that pharmaceuticals antibiotics could not overcome, due to resistant bacteria or viruses. But with the help of botanical herbs, he had great success in turning these cases around. The herbal remedies Dr. Jones used were so powerful, that even over the 30 plus years that he and his wife spent raising their 15 kids, there were only a total of three doctor visits. Yes, that's right, just three visits in 30 years. Every time his kids started getting sick, they would head over to the herb cupboard or out in the garden, and it was over before you knew it. When our awesome God created herbs, he knew what he was doing.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***More Wonderful Workings Of Herbs
- Herbs like elderberry, yarrow and a few others, work wonders against influenza and coronaviruses.
- Herbs are also great at fighting respiratory infections.
- They can accelerate wound healing.
- They can cleanse the organs from infections.
- They can neutralize poison like snake venom.
- They can support your intestines.
- They can even be edible as nutritious food, that can sustain you.
- Some can fight cancer and many other deadly diseases.
- And much more.
With True Herbalist Skills, You Would Be The Ultimate Prepper
When looking at things from a prepper perspective, relying on just a physical store of medical supplies is not enough. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Here is why.
- What if your storage of goods get stolen?
- What if raging fire damage engulfs your supplies?
- What if your basement of goods and medicine gets flooded?
- What if politicians pass anti-hoarding laws that would force your goods being distributed to the community?
Well…then you’re out of resources. There are a lot of unexpected circumstances that can rob you blind until all you have left is the shirt on your back. You need a backup plan. You need something that doesn’t have a shelf life, can’t be stolen, and is always with you. Remember the true saying, “Your education is something that no one can ever take from you.” At the end of the day, a survivalist who is skilled in herbs, is actually the ultimate prepper.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Knowledge Is Power
Here is one example. One day, Dr. Jones was digging chicory roots in a friend’s pasture. A curious neighbor asked what was going on. The doctor explained to him that he was digging chicory for medicine and tasty teas. A great discussion on herbs began between the doctor and the neighbor. While they were chatting, they walked down the driveway toward the neighbor’s house. The distance was only 100 feet but during that short walk the doctor pointed out, on the neighbor's yard, no less than 32 species of edible and medicinal plants. The neighbor was flabbergasted.
Armed with that kind of knowledge, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You could stop by any weed-infested, vacant lot down the street, and convert the resources into a truck load of food and medicine. Learning how to use herbal weeds growing all around you to feed and heal you and your loved ones is one of the smartest investment you can ever make.
The opportunity is there for you, at the HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine. Be sure to watch the videos there. There you will find the most comprehensive online course of herbal medicine that exists anywhere, taught by Doctor Patrick Jones himself.
He can teach you all about herbs and how to use medicinal and edible plants. You get written material, workshops, herb walks, books, videos, and the like. Also you’ll have lifetime access to the material with no time constraints at all. You can complete the learning modules at your own pace as life allows. The skills you gain will come very handy in both good times and bad times.
And of course you can buy herbs now at their online herbal store such as herb kits, poultices, tinctures, essential oils, herbal powders, and teas. The site also has a blog, free resources, forums for discussion, events, and webinars. All with a wealth of valuable information.
Okay, now let’s go over to what Dr. Patrick Jones considers the top ten medicinal herbal plants and the best medicinal herbs to grow.
The Top 10 Medicinal Plants Revealed
According to Dr. Patrick Jones, narrowing it down to just the top 10 herbs is easier said than done. Actually, there is one extra herb added here as a bonus to the list to make it a total of 11 top herbs. Anyway, there are a whole bunch more herbs not on the list but are just as good. The 11 you see here are not necessarily better than the others. Each herb has it own unique properties that can meet certain needs. But for the sake of picking 10 or 11 for the current story, Dr. Jones had to pick a few.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Comfrey
Comfrey is one of the best herbs for inflammation and can actually mend your bones back. The herb is so penetrating. When you apply a poultice of it to the skin, it will soak right through the tissue, seep directly into the bones, and start knitting the bones back together. It has a chemical called allantoin that makes cells divide like crazy, working wonders on broken bones. It is also good for pain in both your muscles and joints, lower back, osteoporosis, and more. It is great for wounds and has contraction abilities, which will reduce scarring. Moreover, the herb supports collagen production which is great for your skin. In addition, it is a really good expectorant, so you can use it for bronchitis. Its soothing properties is extremely helpful for mouth sores, stomach ulcers, and gastrointestinal issues. And Comfrey is a contender for the best herbal tea for sore throats. Simply put some Comfrey in hot water and serve it as a soothing tea for throats. When you grow Comfrey, it spreads easily. But if you want to prevent it from spreading all over your garden, you can use the Russian type of Comfrey which does not spread. But do not use it while you are pregnant.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Gumweed
The name, Gumweed, sticks because the flowers are sticky. This herb relaxes muscle spasms and speeds up healings almost as fast as Comfrey. Gumweed is one of the herbs good for lungs. It is a good expectorant for bronchitis and great for asthma. Gumweed is also an antibiotic that is excellent for bladder infections or gastrointestinal issues. You can grow it even in the worst soil. Attempting to dry it will not work as the herb has lot of oil in it. It is easy to grow the seeds under full sun and in dryish, well-drained soils. Sow the seeds in spring and barely cover the seed with soil.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Cone Flowers
There are actually two herbs recognized as Cone Flowers (Echinacea the purple one and Rudbeckia which is also know as Black Eye Susans). They are very similar to each other, so we will count this as one group. These herbs strengthen your immune system. They work great on rattlesnake & spider bites by stopping the venom poison from destroying your tissue. And they work great on sepsis conditions. They are great for healing and strengthening your joints. They are so good for your joints because they stimulate your body to make more hyaluronic acid, which is the glue that holds your joints together. They repair and build up your cartilage. They are also among the best antiviral herbs, working great on both bacterial and viral infections. They also do great on blood sugar, anxiety, inflammation and skin health. They may even have anti-cancer properties but more research is needed. They are typically hard to grow from seed so just buy some already grown from the nursery. For Echinacia, the best kind is the Purpurea type. For Rudbeckia, the best kind is the Hirta type.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Calendula Officinalis
Regarding Calendula Officinalis, when you hear the word “officinalis” used with plants it means that the plant is medicinal. The whole Calendula plant is edible. Dr. Jones says this one is among his top five. It accelerates healings almost as good as Comfrey. You can use it in soup and stew. The center of the flower is best part, even better than the petals which is also good. It is great for menstrual cramps and shingles. And is wonderful on stomach ulcers because it kills h-pylori. You can use it both topically and internally. But avoid this when you are pregnant. Calendula is one of the best herbs for skin and most likely the best plant to repel mosquitoes. You can grow it under both full and partial sun. Dry and put them in a jar.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Chamomile
Regarding Chamomile, the flower is the medicine. It calms the nervous system and is great for insomnia, panic attacks, and pain. When you are looking for herbal remedies for anxiety, Chamomile is your ticket and stands tall among the best herbs for anxiety. Use some Chamomile for the best herbal tea for anxiety. Naturally, it is one of the best herbs for sleep. And some people consider it the best herbal sleep aid when stressed out. You can make a lotion of it to treat rashes on your skin. You can use it both topically and internally. Good for menstrual cramps. It is also one of the best herbs for liver. It is also fantastic for gut problems like diarrhea. Dr. Jones says this is his 1st grab for any GI issues as it is among the best herbs for digestion. It also restores the kidney. You can grow it easily from seed under both full and partial sun. It is among the easy herbs to grow in pots. It is also one of the easiest herbs to grow indoors. Simply place it near the windows where it can bloom.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Mallow
Mallow is a cousin of the marshmallow herb. The whole plant is edible and medicinal. But the roots are stronger than the leaves. You can use it in salad. It treats bronchitis, diarrhea, and bladder infections. And it is the best herb treatment for gangrene. It is also great for issues on the gastro-intestinal (GI). This is also one of the easiest herbs to grow and you can start with the seed. After grown, you want to chop them up in real small pieces, dry them, and then put them into a jar.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Cramp Bark
Cramp Bark is from the snowball bush. The bark is the medicine. Also, the red berry on the bush is edible. You want to collect the bark before it flowers up in the springtime. The herb prevents muscle spasms and uterine cramps. It also prevents bronchial spasms that can cause asthma. But don’t use it when pregnant because it can cause miscarriage. Go to the nursery and buy one. It is easy to grow but you need to prune it once a year in the springtime right before it blooms. What you do is thin the bush, remove the inner bark, and throw it into a jar.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Plantain
This is the one in the above story that saved Stan’s life. The leaf is the medicine and the entire plant is edible. You can use it both topically and internally just like Stan did. Plantain draws out the venom poison and works great on venomous bites from rattlesnakes bites, spider bites, bee stings, and mosquitos. As a mild antibiotic, it treats bladder infections, sepsis, and GI. As one of the best herbs for detox, it gets rid of toxins which greatly helps your bladder. It is easy to grow from seed. Your lawn probably already has it without you knowing. Simply go out to your backyard and start gathering them up. Know that fresh is best for this one. Sure, you can dry it too but this herb, even dried, has a short shelf life of only 6 months. Other types of herbs will last longer like maybe 2 years. But you can freeze Plantain, which would preserve the medical properties. You can even put the leaves in a zip lock bag and freeze them.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Cayenne
According to Dr. Jones on his veterinarian practice, this herb saved more animals than all the other herbs combined. The hot pepper is the medicine. When things get really bad, Cayenne is one great herb to use. It really works for heart attacks, blood loss, and shock. It wakes you up and make you alert, improves your breathing, and settles your heart rates. As a result, it is one of the best herbs for energy. And it makes your blood vessels more elastic, effectively treating both high and low blood pressure. It fixes your high blood pressure by enabling your vessels to stretch. And as the best herb to lower blood pressure, it enables your blood vessels to contract. It can wake you up from an anesthesia reaction if you are not responding well. It can also stop bleeding both internally and externally. It is also among the best herbs for sinus infection. And it works great on ulcers. It clears up phlegm from your lungs. It can numb the nerves and decrease the pain. It is possibly the best herb to lose weight. You can buy from the nursery and grow it. The best indoor herbs include Cayenne, as it is one of the best herbs to grow inside. You’ll want to harvest it when you see red peppers. The seeds in the peppers are the hottest and the best for medicine. You can store it both fresh or dried.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Dandelion
The whole Dandelion is edible. You can throw it into your salad. It tastes better in the spring. If you wait till summer to taste it, you may find it taste more bitter. It is rich in vitamin A, C, E, and potassium. It is one of the best kidney cleansing herbs (use the leaf part for this). It is a good diuretic and signals kidneys to release water and flush out things which works great for bladder infections. Both the leaf and root are medicinal. It is also one of the herbs good for liver (use root for this), as it cleans the liver and helps with digestion. It is also effective on jaundice. And there is also some exciting research on how it works on breast cancer. Moreover, it helps with skin problems.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***Yarrow
Yarrow is one of Dr. Jones's top five. The flowers are the medicine. It can stop bleeding both internally and externally. It is one of the best herbs to support the immune system. The roots are local anesthetic and works great for dental pain. You can use it for fevers, colds, menstrual cramps, and respiratory issues. But you want to avoid this one while pregnant. Yarrow grows aggressively in both in sun or shade. You’ll want to harvest it when in bloom. Don’t cut it off completely but just harvest about 1/3 of it from the top so it can grow back.
*** Go Back To Table of Contents ***A Quick Note On Fevers
Now we got something special to tell you about fevers. The fever is actually an immune response to fighting the bacteria. You body is actually suppose to get hot. When you have a fever, your body elevates the temperature in order to disable the bad bacteria from feeding on the nutrients in the body. As a result, the starving bad bacteria gets weak and the good white blood cells come in and kill them off. So, you completely recover as a result, quite rapidly. But if you go to the store to buy medicine to bring your fever down, then you are actually doing the opposite of what your body wants to do. Bringing down the fever gives the bad bacteria a second chance to recover from the heat. Is that what you really want to do? Don’t you think that is strange and counterproductive? You should rather get that bad bacteria overheated and let it die off. Let the heat do what it is intended to do.
When you have a fever and use the yarrow herb, it actually accentuates the fever even better, and weakens the bad bacteria even more so. As a result, the bad bacteria gets killed off even faster. If you’re sick, you can take some hot yarrow tea and wrap yourself up in a blanket. Yarrow gives a diaphoretic effect, making you hot and sweaty. Typically, before you know it, the bacteria is wiped out, and fast. Since the bacteria is gone, the body realizes that the job has been successfully done. So then the body naturally brings the fever down back to normal. Amazing isn’t it?
